The Hunter Education Field Course is taught by Elm Fork Training Team TPWD Certified Instructors. The course represents Part 2 of the Texas Hunter Education certification process and includes a 5-hour presentation of ethical and responsible hunting, participation in a hunting skills trail, a live firing exercise, review of regulations and a final exam (score at least 75% to pass).
The Texas Hunter Education certification process consists of two parts:
(1) Online coursework: Complete the TPWD online course or one of the approved online hunter education courses. After completing the online homework, print out the results (Quiz Results, Voucher or Certificate) and present them to the Instructor at the Field Course.
(2) Attend a Field Course with a TPWD Certified Instructor.
