Elm Fork’s Rifle and Pistol Range offer a great outdoor shooting experience.  Our range features a variety of Rifle and Pistol lanes to ensure a great day on the range!

 

 

 

 

Elm Fork Shooting Sports

 

We are a public range and no reservations are required.

 

Pistol Paper Bay

 

One paper target is included with range fee.  Targets can be placed from 3-25 yds.  22 lanes available.

 

Reactive Steel Bay

 

Pistol Calibers only.  Various plate racks and trees are available. 10 yard distance.

 

25-50 Yard Range

 

Great range for practicing longer distance with open sites or to sight in your rifle in prep for shooting at the 100 yard range.  26 lanes available.

 

100 Yard Range

 

Shooters must demonstrate that they are able to shoot accurately. All rifles must be sited in and have at least 3 power+ optics. 18 lanes available. FMJ ammunition is not allowed.

Tactical Bay

 

Allows Rifle, Pistols, and Shotguns (No bird shot), buckshot and slugs only. Targets can be set from 7, 15, and 25 yds. 12 lanes are available.

 

22 Shooting Gallery

 

Old time mechanical shooting gallery for 22LR rifles or pistols only. The gallery is a great way to enjoy plinking with family and friends.

Range Rules

General Rifle and Pistol Rules

  • It is MANDATORY for everyone on the range to wear ear and eye protection
  • Shoot only from the designated firing lane, Do not pass beyond the tables unless you are expressly authorized to do so by the Range Officer
  • All actions must be open and unloaded and at all times when not engaged in shooting
  • One shot per second, NO RAPID FIRE
  • No shooting from the hip or drawing from the holster
  • If two people use the same firearm, it must be placed on the table, unloaded, with the action open before the next person may use it
  • Every firearm, loaded or unloaded, must be pointed down range at all times
  • Accidental or negligent discharge will result in immediate removal from the range
  • Upon the event of a lightning strike, Elm Fork will close the range and ask guests to stop shooting until the lighting has passed and is at least 3 miles away from the facility and management has determined that it is safe to resume shooting. Rain checks will only be given if the weather requires the range to shutdown completely for the remainder of the day.
  • THERE ARE NO EXCEPTIONS TO THESE RULES! It doesn’t matter who you are, these rules apply to all customers and their guests.

50 Yard Range Rules

  • NO – Standing or Prone Shooting
  • NO – Pistol Caliber Gun (.357 Mag and up Carbine Rifles or Lever Actions ONLY)
  • NO – Rifle Cleaning at Bench (unless approved by Range Officer)
  • All actions must be open when the gun is not in use
  • Always post target at the bottom of the backer board

The muzzle must always point DOWN RANGE:

  • when removing or placing gun in case
  • when loading or unloading
  • when closing the action

100 Yard Range Rules

  • NO – Full Metal Jacket, Steel Core, or Military Ammo on the 100 Yard Range
  • All Rifles must be scoped. NO RED DOTS (3 power or greater)
  • NO – 22 Long Rifles
  • NO – Rifle Caliber Pistols or Short Barrel Rifles (barrel shorter than 16 inches)
  • NO – Pistol Caliber Rifles
  • NO – Rifle Cleaning at Bench (unless approved by Range Officer)
  • All actions must be open when gun is not in use
  • Always post target at the bottom of the backer board
